Grip has been named to FreightWaves’ prestigious FreightTech 100 list for the second consecutive year, highlighting its continued innovation in the freight technology sector.
Since being named on the 2024 FreightTech 100, Grip has continued to push boundaries in the perishable shipping industry by launching nationwide fulfillment services and developing the first order management system purposely built for direct-to-consumer perishable brands.
The FreightTech 100 list is curated by a panel of journalists, analysts, and industry experts selected by FreightWaves. This year’s list was compiled from over 250 companies and nearly 900 nominations, reflecting the growing impact of technology in the logistics space.
In addition to this honor, Grip was named one of Food Logistics’ Top 2024 3PL & Cold Storage Providers in June, in recognition of its efforts to transform perishable DTC logistics.

Grip was founded by former ButcherBox executives Juan Meisel and Jimmy Cooper, who experienced firsthand the challenges and costs associated with nationwide perishable shipping.
As head of logistics at ButcherBox, Meisel fielded dozens of calls from eCommerce founders asking how the leading meat delivery startup was managing their expensive DTC operation.
